As the week drew to a close, the crew assembled for a meet-and-greet with Dilshan, who was a core part of Beta Launch’s early days in Melbourne and is now an advisory committee member. The evening started with everyone enjoying an array of snacks and drinks before taking their seats, followed by an engaging session with Dilshan where the team gained invaluable insights based on his many experiences involving business and tech while also getting to know him better.
Dilshan shared stories on Beta Launch’s roots, first encounters with our Co-Founder Janaka, how certain decisions came into play, what we can learn from specific events as well as how we can improve as we look to the future. Soon after, the team had the chance to ask questions and also took turns introducing themselves, sharing their backgrounds and aspirations. The evening transitioned slowly into a causal conversation, with everyone reminiscing on old days, sharing inside jokes, and making Dilshan a part of the banter.
