We are looking for a young marketing outreach specialist to join our team in Colombo.


Beta Launch is a product management, engineering, and design outfit based out of Melbourne and Colombo serving clients ranging from start-ups to enterprise firms globally, helping them build digital products that match the underserved needs of their respective markets.


Drawing on 50+ years of collective experience, we work closely with clients in Australia, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, and beyond on diverse projects and products across industries ranging from culture and legal to IoT.

The Role

This role is perfectly suited for a young, charismatic individual with experience reaching out to people, engaging with them, and exploring potential new business across online channels. If you are naturally in-tune with understanding what people want and whether it matches what you have to offer, qualifying them accordingly as a good fit or not, and building authentic relationships with those who’re keen, this is for you!


The perfect balance of Marketing Outreach, Lead Generation, and Prospecting, this is a fresh role in the local space that will be rewarding on many different levels.


The role will involve a number of areas including searching for potential customers or leads online and performing research into potential market segments and customers to resonate better. Equally, it will require you to perfecting messaging for cold outreach, reach out to them, and then identify among the leads your ideal clients or prospects, while setting appointments online with prospects who are a good fit. You’ll be required to draw on top notch social selling, discernment, communication, cold outreach, persuasion, and networking skills to truly excel in this Marketing Outreach Specialist position.


If you’re energetic, outgoing, a people person, have a knack for knowing when to proceed or retreat, and can handle both success and rejection, you’ll do great in and love this role!

Core Responsibilities

  • Understanding customer outreach and online sales prospecting funnel fundamentals
  • Lead generation across different target audiences via appropriate marketing channels
  • Research into potential customers/leads to understand them, their work, lives, and challenges better
  • Prospecting by emailing, LinkedIn direct messaging, and cold-calling, and other channels
  • Tailoring of messaging, emails, and call scripts while considering context, personas, etc.
  • Intelligent, sincere and clear communication online to understand whether prospect is a good match or not
  • Building rapport and nurturing relationships with prospects
  • Setting of online appointments to pass onto sales and marketing teams
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to fine-tune processes and funnel


  • Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing outreach, lead generation, sales prospecting, marketing, B2B sales or similar
  • Experience marketing or selling software services or B2B SaaS products will entail an advantage
  • Marketing, Sales or Business Management focused academic or professional qualifications will entail an advantage
  • Proven experience and confidence engaging with decision-makers in a business plus ability to bring in new business
  • Great people skills including communication, discernment, listening, and persuasion skills
  • Extremely strong command of English in both written and spoken form
  • Sound knowledge of LinkedIn, email, and other marketing channels
  • Good proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
*Our ideal candidate should be below 30 years of age, and those residing close to Colombo 05 will reserve an advantage.
