We are looking for a young marketing executive to join our team in Colombo.

 

Beta Launch is a product management and customer experience consultancy outfit based out of Melbourne and Colombo, serving clients ranging from start-ups to enterprise firms globally, helping them build digital products that match the underserved needs of their respective markets.

 

Drawing on 50+ years of collective experience, we work closely with clients in APAC, South Asia, and Europe on diverse projects and products across industries ranging from culture and legal to finance.

The Role

This exciting new role is suited for young, charismatic individuals with experience reaching out to people, engaging with them, and exploring potential new business across online channels.

 

The Digital Outreach & Social Media Executive position will involve numerous responsibilities to aid expansion into new markets via digital channels.

 

These include activities ranging from performing online research on specific market segments to understand the customer closely, and identifying individuals within our target segment using digital channels like LinkedIn, to perfecting what you say when reaching out to them digitally so you can resonate with them closely.

 

To complement direct digital outreach, you will be expected to perform social media marketing across channels including LinkedIn to improve our reach and engagement on content within the target segment. Parallelly, it will also involve identifying and commenting on relevant content/posts of our target segment to nurture natural engagement.

 

A mix of digital marketing, lead generation, digital outreach, and social media engagement, the role’s ultimate goal is to a) convert ideal prospects onto online discovery calls b) improve Beta Launch’s reach across channels such as LinkedIn and optimize content engagement.

 

If you’re energetic, perceptive, a people person, have a knack for knowing when to proceed or retreat, and can handle both success and rejection, you’ll do great in and love this role!

Core Responsibilities

  • Understanding digital marketing, digital outreach, online sales prospecting funnel, and social media engagement fundamentals
  • Research into potential customers/leads to understand them, their work, lives, and challenges better
  • Digital lead generation within target segment
  • Prospecting by emailing, LinkedIn direct messaging, and other marketing channels
  • Supporting lead generation by creating engagement on social media platforms by identifying relevant content/posts to comment on
  • Use Beta Launch LinkedIn and other profiles to comment and create engagement
  • Tailoring of messages, emails, and comments while considering context, personas, etc.
  • Intelligent, sincere and clear communication online to understand whether prospect is a good match or not
  • Setting of online appointments (discovery calls) to pass onto sales and marketing teams
  • Social media marketing to improve reach within the target audience, content engagement, etc., across channels like LinkedIn
  • Schedule and post routine Beta Launch social media content on LinkedIn and Instagram (content created by social media and content teams)

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in digital marketing, lead generation, sales prospecting, social media marketing/engagement, B2B sales or similar
  • Experience marketing or selling software/IT services will entail an advantage
  • Marketing, Sales or Business Management focused academic or professional qualifications will entail an advantage
  • Proven experience and confidence engaging with a wide range of business stakeholders
  • Great people skills including communication, discernment, listening, and persuasion skills
  • Extremely strong command of English in both written and spoken form
  • Sound knowledge of LinkedIn, email, and other marketing channels
  • Good proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
